1. The new Wharfedale Super Linton is an updated model, being a standout addition to the globally best-selling Heritage series. The new Super Linton is genuinely Super in every way. Not detracting from its sister, the currenth 85th Annivesary, the Super Linton takes one step further in engineering and performance in almost every aspect. The result is a moderately more expensive but exclusively more capable loudspeaker that forms the perfect addition to the Heritage series. , offering an upgrade path for existing Linton owners, but also bridging the gap between the flagship, made in the UK DOVEDALE model.
   Like the original 'Super' concept, the new Super Linton benefits from an enlarged cabinet and propriety Wharfedale sandwich cabinet design that features a resonance-reducing combination of two layers of MFD complemented with a layer of acoustic damping glue.
   A new bass unit and a more powerful motor system enhance the LF performance , extending down to 32Hz, This results in a more dramatic and impactful low-end . For the treble output, SUPER LINTON features a lightweight fabric weave dome coated with special damp-ing material and supported by a ceramic magnet motor system, contributing to its sweet and detailed char-acter. The revised short horn profile ensures smooth response down to the upper midrange, and the new front plate design enhances HF dispersion, matching the transient impact and detailing of the new bass unit.
   A new revised chamber for the midrange drive unit works to cancel out mid-band specific back waves by multiple layers of long-hair Fiber, resulting in a more natural prominence of the vocal and instrumental frequencies
   Recognisable as having LINTON DNA, the Super Linton appearance is a modest update,. New consideration were made for the driver array and cabinet dimensions. 2024年， IAG 再有新動作，對Wharfedale Denton 85th 進行了新的改進，Super Denton 終於到來，進一步逼近Linton 85th.

In year 2024, IAG England make a new move to improve the Wharfedale Denton 85th, and a 3-Way Super Denton finally arrived, further approaching Linton 85th.

What about Linton 85th vs Super Denton ??

Appearance :
Visually, both take a classic, minimalist approach that is understated but beautiful.
I bucked the trends on authetastic and say I like them., both meet mid century classic antique design, potential punters will like the design and attract by the finish.

Audition test 01 : matched with Kinki CHcoo Emei
The Super Denton sounded wonderfully warm and subtle, with crisp and clean vocal and gentle. By pushing the Emei to a slightly higher volume, the trashing guitars and drums did not worry the Super Denton a bit, it carried a serious presence, and a full indulgent speakers.
The Super Dentons are smaller alternative to the Linton 85th, ...small in stature but packs a mighty punch. It carried a weight and heft that easily filled the listening space. By Emei, Super Denton sounded more forward compare to Linton, and slightly better than Linton for female vocal Jazz. But, for rockLinton will be a winner. But don't underestimate Super Denton in a small listening area, they have a surprisingly amount bass.
Both Super Denton and Linton 85th are share the same DNA but still a bit difference.

Audition test 02 : matched with Audiolab 9000A
Super Denton has great depth and spaciousness , treble is great, as is delineation.i wished a bit more body or grit at the midrange, other from this, they sound rather good. Thanks to the additional midrange driver that's designed solely for vocal reproduction - it really can hear an improvement over a 2 Way in terms of clarity, detail and expressiveness. With slightly tuned up volume 9000A, I was impressed at the extension and cleaness of the bass for the size. Overall Super Dentons are greatly balanced, nice integration from the drivers.
For Linton, I noticed is more body and enveloping sound. But surprisingly, the punch was clearly less present or as deep as Super Denton, generally I was attracted to the Linton for it's sweetness.

Final words:
Overall I said Super Denton would make great in a smaller listening area.....they will pack a great punch and almost subwoofer-like bass with 9000A or Kinki Emei, which had plenty of power in reserve .....and clarity that the Linton reach IMHO, accounting for the bigger soundstage and midrange meat from the Linton's.

Succeeding the success of EVO 4 series, the EVO 5 range boasts updated cabinets, drivers and crossovers with new damping technology.

Today, we talk about the EVO 5.2 !!
The new 5.2 is set to replace the existing EVO 4.2 which launched back in 2019, was notable for taken more than a few cues from the Flagship Elysian , involved the AMT (Air Motion Transformer) treble units and redesigned cabinets with slot-loaded ports. The increased size assured 'furthet improves efficiency and dispersion'. Additional new sound-absorbing 'SilentWeave' that sits behind the diaphragm 'to reduce sound wave reflection inside the cabinet'. All the driver units ultimately benefit from this new " ResoFrame' acoustic damping system,.... A smoother response for lower treble band.

How is the vocals improvement ? This 5.2 features new 'ResoSeal' elastomer damping to it's bass/mid driver to further enhance the lower midrange, the vocals sound richer, natural and more emotionally engaging.

And how is the Bass performance ? Origin from the Flagship Elysian low distortion motor system, coupled with Kevlar Cone and Low Loss rubber surround, created more powerful bass vs the EVO 4.2.

The redesigned Crossover + Revised crossover PCB layout is it benefitted the final sound ? That's for sure. Magnetic interference within a speaker's internal Crossover can negatively impact the sound quality. Crossovers are crucial for detecting audio freq to the correct speaker, and interference can cause distortion and uneven freq response . The suppression of the magnetic interference make this EVO 5.2 sound more clear and accurate, the overall listening experience is further improved.

The 5.2 with a choice of a walnut wood veneer, Matt Black, Matt White and the new 'Lunar Grey's Matt finish.
